About Porter's Concrete Service Inc.

Working hard and doing the job right the first time have developed into the Porter trademark.

In 1967, the Porters began with an excavation service. Five years later the opportunity came to rebuild the Valley region after the ’72 flood. The area desperately needed materials and expertise in rebuilding the region. Starting with an excavating business and then expanding into the mobile concrete mixers in 1976, Porters quickly became the Valley’s chief supplier of ready-mix concrete. In need of a local supply for sand and gravel, Ralph & Beverly Porter opened their own mine in Waverly, NY to meet the local demand.

Each year this company improves its performance and desire to be the best in the community. The Company started with 2 employees and is now home to 25 dedicated individuals. Today, Porters Concrete Service, Inc. is still proudly family owned and operated. Co-Owners are Ralph Porter and Shannon Porter-Spaulding. As Tioga County Legislature Chairman Ronald E. Dougherty put it, “The Porters have set a standard to which all other operations will be measured against.”

In 2019, we added a new Front Discharging truck to our fleet https://www.terex.com/advance/en/products/overview. We have also incorporated GPS tracking units throughout our entire fleet. In the near future we hope to have a link that our customers and contractors can access and get real time data of where their load of concrete is. On July 1st, 2019 Porters Sand & Gravel (a subdivision of Porters Concrete Service) was sold to Austin’s Sand & Gravel. Porters Concrete Service will continue to provide you with all of your Ready-Mix concrete needs and Austin’s Sand & Gravel will be able to supply you with your aggregate needs. They are also a family owned and operated business who have been established in the Valley for many years.

In 2020, we will be adding two more Front Discharging trucks to our fleet as well as making many upgrades to our already fully automated system. These additions and upgrades will help us to continue offering a superior product with a service that is fast, friendly and reliable!
